WHAT TO EXPECT
On your initial visit to our centre, you can expect a warm welcome from one of our friendly Chiropractic Assistants, ensuring you feel at ease right from the start. During this first appointment, you’ll be asked to complete a straightforward form, providing us with essential information about your health history. Following this our chiropractic assistant will then gather your vital sign information. This includes your blood pressure, height and weight. This gives us a holistic and in depth overview of your health status.
EXAMINATION
Following a comprehensive case history, your chiropractor will conduct a thorough physical examination. This may involve testing your reflexes or muscles, mobility and posture, alongside other standard orthopaedic, neurological, and postural assessments.
At Kinfolk Chiropractic Centre, we use a technology-based postural assessment system, which accurately detects even subtle postural dysfunction. This system generates individualised postural images and analyses the data, correlating postural distortions with your unique spinal biomechanics. We also use this technology for children in their initial consultation.
This comprehensive examination enables the chiropractor to gain valuable insights into your current health status, facilitating a better understanding of how chiropractic care can benefit you. If necessary, the chiropractor may recommend X-rays (bulk billed through Medicare) or additional testing procedures.
X-RAY
X-rays are often necessary for a thorough evaluation of your spinal health, and all X-rays are covered under Medicare and taken right here at our centre during your initial consultation.
YOUR FIRST ADJUSTMENT
Once your chiropractor has thoroughly evaluated your x-rays and history, on your second visit they will take you through what a typical adjustment experience will be like here at Kinfolk Chiropractic Centre. This will be subject to your individual health status but usually your chiropractor will introduce you to our HyperVibe Spinal Rehabilitation machines for our pre adjustment protocol, then you will experience your first adjustment where your chiropractor will explain how the Chiropractic adjustment works and then guide you through your adjustment. Lastly, our chiropractor will show you our Breath and Yoga Studio where you can carry out the homework our Chiropractors have prescribed, or chill and relax and help your nervous system unwind.
REPORT OF FINDINGS
Once all examinations are complete and the data is analysed, your chiropractor will present a detailed Report Of Findings on your third visit. During this time, your chiropractor will provide recommendations for your care plan moving forward.
